Raleigh Country Club, a McConnell Golf property located in Raleigh, NC is seeking energetic and friendly individuals to join our team of Outside Operations Professional Staff.

Our Cart Attendants provide bag, golf cart and range services to members and guests.  Works as a viable part of the outside operations team.  This position is entrusted with the assistance of the preparation of certain operations relating to providing members and their guests the best golfing experience in North Carolina.   First class customer service, being proactive in meeting and greeting members and their guests in a very friendly, professional manner, and the overall presentation of the bag drop, practice facility, and cart barn area on a daily basis are very essential to this position.  A positive member and guest relation experience is critical to the overall image of McConnell Golf.  These are great positions for students or retirees!

Responsibilities

• Brings golf carts from cart barn to cart staging area

• Loads bags from bag storage room onto golf carts.

• Transports range balls to each end of range and fills appropriate containers.

• Places baskets of golf balls at evenly spaced intervals on range.

• Operates tractor and golf ball picker on range to retrieve balls.

• Washes all range balls daily.

• Removes bags from golf carts and returns bags to assigned rack in bag storage room.

• Returns golf carts to cart barn; removes towels, pencils, score cards, tees, drink cans, etc. from golf carts and saves reusable items

• Checks carts for damage; washes golf cart with pressure cleaner; parks cart in shelter and connects charger cable.

• Advises Golf Shop of clubs found on the course and destined for the lost and found.

• Cleans all clubs for members and guests; cleans and maintains the club’s rental equipment.

• Maintains cleanliness of and order in Bag Storage Room.

• Attends staff meetings as appropriate.

• Performs other appropriate tasks as assigned by the Golf Professional staff.

Qualifications

Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations

• Knowledgeable about the game of golf and its rules.

• Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in emergency situations.

• Required availability to work shifts between 6:00am-8:00pm (flexible) on weekdays and availability on some weekends and holidays

Licenses and Special Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.

• Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration.

• Must be able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position.

• Frequent lifting up to 50lbs, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling.

• Frequent repetitive motions.

• Continuous standing and walking.
