Porters Neck Country Club is seeking an Camp Counselor to join our team. The Camp Counselor should enjoy working in a team environment, show extraordinary guest service, and working with children.

Responsibilities

 • Supervise and actively engage with campers throughout the day.
• Lead and assist in a variety of camp activities, including sports, swimming, arts & crafts, and team-building games.
• Ensure a safe and positive environment for all campers.
• Act as a positive role model, encouraging good sportsmanship and teamwork.
• Assist in organizing daily schedules and special events.
• Communicate with parents and staff regarding camper needs and progress.
• Enforce camp rules and policies in a friendly and professional manner.
• Administer basic first aid when necessary (training provided).
• Assist in set-up and clean-up of camp activities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children (e.g., teaching, teaching assistant, or camp experience) preferred.
• Enthusiastic, responsible, and patient demeanor.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before the camp session begins).
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Work Schedule:
• June 16 – Aug 15, 2025
• Monday – Friday, [Hours vary, but are within 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM depending on schedule]
• Some special events may require additional hours.
