Overview

McConnell Golf is seeking an Accounts Receivable Assistant Manager to join our team. This is a Full-time position featuring outstanding benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k), paid time off, and more.

 

This is an in-person position working at our home office, Raleigh Country Club.

Responsibilities

  • Accounting Experience:
    • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or related financial roles
    • Solid understanding of general accounting principles (no accounting degree required)
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis)
    • Experience with accounting software, POS systems, and/or club management software preferred, including but not limited to (Jonas, Northstar, Clubessential, etc.) but not a requirement
    • Strong general computer skills; comfortable learning new systems quickly
  • Communication & Interpersonal:
    • Professional and friendly phone demeanor and personal —this role will interact with members regarding billing questions, statements, and payments
    • Strong written communication for emails and member correspondence
    • Ability to maintain discretion and professionalism in a private club setting
  • Organizational Strengths:
    • High attention to detail
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
    • Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills

Preferred Attributes (Nice to Have):

  • Experience in a hospitality or private club environment
  • Familiarity with monthly billing cycles, statement reconciliations, and collections follow-up
  • Some exposure to member service roles or CRM platforms
  • Associates degree or coursework in accounting, finance, or business (not required)

  • Trustworthy with confidential financial information
