Overview

Sedgefield Country Club is seeking a Cafe and Pool Supervisor to join our team. The Cafe and Pool Supervisor will assure a high standard of appearance, hospitality and service in personnel and cleanliness of Cafe and Pool Areas. Ensures timeliness of food service. Supervise and train Cafe and Pool staff. Manage within budgetary restraints. Develop and implement programs to increase revenues through repeat business and higher check averages.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the café and pool areas to ensure a welcoming, safe, and high-quality guest experience
  • Maintain consistent service standards and ensure staff are providing friendly, efficient, and professional service
  • Address member/guest questions, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally
  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise café and pool staff
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels based on business volume and special events
  • Lead by example and foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
  • Conduct ongoing training on service standards, safety procedures, and club policies
  • Monitor pool cleanliness, safety equipment, and overall appearance
  • Monitor inventory and place orders with the correct outlet
  • Coordinate with culinary and beverage teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Plans patio and lobby set-up based on anticipated guest counts and events.
  • Ensure café and pool areas are clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times
  • Coordinate routine maintenance and report facility issues promptly
  • Enforce cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Support poolside events, themed days, and seasonal programming
  • Work collaboratively with management and event teams
  • Communicate clearly with staff, management, and other departments
  • Uphold and represent the organization’s mission, values, and service culture

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

• Grade 12 education.

• Two years of comparable wait service experience preferred.

• The ability to read, write and execute basic math skills.

 

Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations

• Greet and acknowledge members and guests.

• Is knowledgeable about the menu, buffet and wine list.

• Ability to time the service of each course.

• Learns members’ names and their special preferences.

• Knowledge of wines and spirits.

• Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.

 

Licenses and Special Requirements

• Food safety certification.

• Of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.

• Alcoholic beverage certification.

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.

• Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.

• Continuous repetitive motions.

• Work in hot, humid and noisy environment.

Salary Range

USD $18.00 - USD $20.00 /Hr.
